6 Major Factors that affect the way we SHOULD eat

I just posted about finding the perfect diet. I'm still fine tuning my perfect diet. Honestly, it's going to change. It won't stay the same because of so many factors. Such as: my age, whether or not I'm pregnant or nursing, my activity level, the season, my stress level, etc.

Flexibility is key. Be willing to try new things. Don't be so hard on yourself. (I am so guilty of this.)
Remember when I said I'd studied over 90 different dietary theories? Yeah...that's overwhelming for anyone, even a nutrition fanatic. :)

We're always hearing controversial and conflicting information about how to eat. Example: chocolate is bad OR chocolate is good and provides health benefits and is full of antioxidants. It's hard to keep up with the latest "research" on what's good or bad for you.
When I sat down and began thinking about all the different dietary theories and the things they had in common, I came up with 6 factors. I feel like a majority of these diets can fit under any one of these factors.
  1. The Season (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter)
  2. Climate you reside in (N, S, W, E)
  3. Ayurvedic dosha (vata, pitta, kapha)
  4. Blood type (O, A, B, AB)
  5. Metabolic Profile (Protein type, Carbo Type, Mixed Type)
  6. Primary Food
If you study yourself first, you will understand much easier how to eat and what it the best foods for you. Not what some scientist said. I think we have it backwards.

This is how I help my clients. I help you understand how your bodies works and what kind of "type" you are so we can discover what foods are best for you. I love it. :D

Next up, I'll talk about the seasons and go right down the list.

I'd also like to share some resources to point you in the right direction.

I want people to love eating-not feel restricted by eating.
